Two-thirds of Germans believe US President Donald Trump poses a greater threat to world peace than Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The result comes as the two leaders prepare to meet in the Finnish capital of Helsinki on Monday for talks aimed at boosting relations between the two rival countries.

More than 2052 respondents, conducted by the YouGov Institute for measuring opinion polls and published on Sunday, said Putin was more efficient and more influential than Trump.

Only 5% of the respondents said they believed Trump was the most efficient leader, while 56% responded to Putin, while the rest didn’t.

Most of the respondents saw Putin as the most powerful leader (43 versus 25 %), although the United States outperforms Russia economically and militarily.

64% of the respondents said Trump posed a greater threat to world peace than Putin, who was 16% only.
