A powerful explosion rocked the area of diplomatic headquarters in central Tel Aviv, at dawn on Friday.

According to the spokesman of the Israeli Magen David service, the Israeli ambulance service parallel to the Red Cross, Zaki Heller revealed Friday morning that the explosion occurred at night in Tel Aviv.

According to him, one person was killed and others injured.

He also said police had reported seven lightly injured people so far, but it was especially people who were in shock, Heller said.

Police spokesman Dean Elsdon said a body wounded by shrapnel had been found in the building that was hit by the blast.

Security agencies confirmed that all scenarios are possible.

The Israeli military said the explosion was caused by an air target, adding that sirens hadn’t sounded.

The Israeli army said that the explosion was caused by the fall of a drone that exploded in Tel Aviv, and the Israeli army opened an investigation into how the march traveled about two thousand kilometers over 10 hours and didn’t activate sirens and air defenses to intercept the swooping drone.

It added that the drone’s engine fell on a residential building in central Tel Aviv, and within an area that included diplomatic headquarters, including the US embassy.

The Israeli army’s announcement came after Israel’s Home Front confirmed earlier that no air penetration had been detected in the area, so no sirens were sounded.

For his part, Yemeni Houthi military spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree said on Friday that they targeted Tel Aviv with a drone in solidarity with the Palestinians in the Gaza war.

gadier General Yahya Saree said in a statement, “The drone weather weapon in the Yemeni armed forces carried out a qualitative military operation represented in targeting one of the important targets in the occupied Jaffa area, the so-called Israeli Tel Aviv”.

“The operation was carried out with a new drone called (Jaffa) capable of bypassing enemy interceptor systems and radars cannot detect them, and the operation successfully achieved its objectives,” Saree said.

He added, “We’ll focus on targeting the enemy’s internal front and reaching the depth, and confirm that we have a bank of targets in occupied Palestine”.

He continued, “The Yemeni armed forces declare Tel Aviv an unsafe area and will be a primary target in our range of weapons”.
