The Syrian Ministry of Defense called on the SDF fighters to join the regular army to face the “Turkish aggression”.

The Syrian Ministry of Defense issued a statement in which it announced that “the General Command of the Army and the Armed Forces, after extending its control over large areas of the Syrian island, calls on the elements of groups called” SDF “to join the army units to confront the Turkish aggression that threatens Syrian territory”.

The ministry added: “We face one enemy and we must do with the sons of a united Syria, Arabs and Kurds, our blood to recover every inch of Syria’s beloved territory”.

For its part, the Syrian Ministry of Interior announced in a statement, its readiness to receive “all those who wish to join the units of the Internal Security Forces of the groups called Asayish”.

This call comes at a time when the Syrian government and the “Syria Democratic Forces” negotiations, some of which were mediated by Russia, on ways to settle the situation in the northeast of the country.

Syrian Kurdish political analyst Hassan Ismael says why SDF is not willing to join the Syrian army:

“The call made by the Syrian state for the SDF and SDC to join the Syrian Arab Army and work within the Syrian government forces system is a good one, but the situation and circumstances, without any political settlement or any political agreement with the SDC and SDF that means the state”.

Hassan Ismail added: “We noticed that there is an agreement between the SDF and the Russians and the Syrian state to protect the border line, but the state did not commit or was unable to protect the border areas.

It was unable to deal with this aggression”.

The SDF is an organized force representing the eastern and northeastern part of Syria and there must be an agreement guaranteeing the rights and privacy of the region in order to deal with the Syrian state, they won’t be soldiers on demand and won’t sacrifice themselves without any benefit, the SDF will accept any partnership with the state.

The Syrian army didn’t reject the Syrian lawsuit, but provided in its statement that it is ready to deal only with conditions that guarantee the rights and privacy.

For his part, the military expert Major General Mohammed Abbas on the real reasons for the refusal of the “SDF” to join the Syrian army forces: There are those in the SDF who is a Syrian Kurdish citizen, and there are those in the SDF who don’t belong to Syria, and it seems that SDF has been influenced by Trump’s new promises, promising them the revenues of oil fields and oil products, and resolving the financial crisis in order to protect ISIS prisons, and Trump is looking for a new quiver to control the minds of those who rely on an American role in Syria, and this means that the American is betting on a new role of the so-called “SDF”, and the American believes that providing $ 30 million From the Syrian oil revenues per month to SDF, it is enough to become SDF elements against the US and its homeland.

The SDF had reservations about Damascus’ call to join the ranks of the regular Syrian army to repel the “Turkish aggression”, stressing that a political settlement must be reached first to preserve the privacy and structure of SDF
