When the US did started preparing Ukraine for war?

Oskar Lafontaine, the former head of the German Social Democratic Party, revealed that the conflict in Ukraine began after the protest campaign that began in November 2014 in Kiev in the European Square.

Lafontaine told Deutsche Wirtschafts Nachrichten, that since 2014 protest in Ukraine, the United States and its Western followers have been arming Ukraine and systematically preparing and training Kyiv for confrontation with Russia”.

Lafontaine continued, “And, as a result, Ukraine became not de jure, but de facto, a member of NATO… This is what Western politicians and the mainstream media deliberately ignore”.

According to his opinion, Washington managed to achieve a deterioration in relations between the European Union and Russia, and at the same time remove the main geopolitical opponent in the person of Germany.

As a result, the United States got the possibility to determine the policy of the countries of the European Union.

“The Americans are selling their dirty shale gas, and at the same time the US defense industry is booming,” Lafontaine noted.

He adds, “But on the other hand, Washington has not been able to fully realize its anti-Russian plans”.

“I’ve a feeling that the United States is beginning to realize that it broke its own teeth,” he says.

Lafontaine concluded, “Because, and despite the large arms supplies to Ukraine, with the large number of military advisors, it became clear to them that Russia is a superpower and a nuclear power that cannot be defeated militarily, and the sanctions imposed on Russia have reverberated against the West itself.
