Venezuela deploys warships and drones in its territorial waters in response to the US sending warships to the Caribbean

Venezuela announced on Tuesday the deployment of naval vessels and drones to its territorial waters in response to the United States sending several warships to the Caribbean region under the pretext of combating drug trafficking.

In a video, Minister of the Armed Forces Vladimir Padrino revealed the dispatch of naval patrols to the Gulf of Venezuela and larger ships to the north of our territorial waters, in addition to the dispatch of a large number of drones on various missions.

Last week, Washington announced the deployment of three missile-launching destroyers to the region, in addition to a guided cruise missile ship and a nuclear-powered fast attack submarine, which were unveiled on Tuesday.

Several US media outlets reported that the Pentagon intends to dispatch 4,000 naval personnel to the Caribbean region off the coast of Venezuela.
