US State Department: We’re monitoring developments in Syria and we expect exemptions soon
The US State Department announced high expectations regarding potential waivers the US administration may announce for Syria, affirming Washington’s support for the formation of a multilateral government that works to combat terrorism and promotes the call for an inclusive civilian government.
The US State Department indicated that it’s closely monitoring Damascus’ actions as it determines future US policy towards Syria, stressing that the US administration is monitoring developments regarding transitional Syrian President Ahmed al Sharaa’s signing of the constitutional declaration.
