US reports: Israel had been preparing for the pager’s explosions operation for a very long time
According to US media reports, “Israel had been preparing to blow up pagers in Lebanon for 15 years”.
Acording to a source in the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) as saying, “Israel is involved in the production of pagers that exploded in different areas of Lebanon, to make this possible, Israel created several front companies that were supposed to be linked to the manufacture of pagers, and some of the employees of these companies did not even know who they were working for”.
The source confirmed that “the planning of the attack included shell companies, with multiple layers of Israeli intelligence officers and their assets, operating under the shadow of a legitimate company that produced the pagers”.
According to ABC News, between one and two ounces of explosives and a remote trigger were planted in the pagers.
A very large number of pagers exploded in different parts of Lebanon last Tuesday and Wednesday, injuring more than 3,000 people and killing 37 others.
The reason for the simultaneous explosion of thousands of devices isn’t yet known, and Hezbollah and the Lebanese authorities accused Israel of the incident.
This comes as mutual targeting continues in southern Lebanon between Hezbollah on the one hand and the Israeli army on the other, since the outbreak of the Israeli war on Gaza.
