US Central Command announces the completion of the floating pier on the shores of Gaza
The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Thursday the completion of the construction of the floating pier on the shores of the Gaza Strip.
“Today (Thursday), at approximately 7:40 am Gaza time (4:40 GMT), US Central Command personnel supporting the humanitarian mission to deliver additional humanitarian aid to Palestinian civilians in need installed a makeshift pavement on the Gaza beach,” CENTCOM said in a statement.
Humanitarian aid trucks are expected to start moving ashore in the coming days, where the UN will receive and coordinate the distribution of aid in Gaza.
CENTCOM noted that no US troops have entered Gaza.
