Ukraine: More than 700 critical infrastructure facilities were damaged by Russian attacks
The First Deputy Minister of the Interior of Ukraine, Yevhen Yenin, said that about 32,000 civilian targets and more than 700 vital infrastructure facilities were damaged as a result of the Russian attacks on Ukrainian territory.
On Monday, the Ukrainian national news agency Ukrinform quoted Yenin as saying during a television interview that about 520 residential areas are currently facing problems with energy supplies due to the Russian attacks.
Of the 32,000 damaged civilian targets, most of them are detached houses and apartment complexes, said Yenin.
He added that the Russian invaders caused damage to more than 700 critical infrastructure facilities, which are transportation, energy and other targets (air bases, bridges, fuel depots and sub-power stations).
He pointed out that only 3% of the Russian strikes were launched on military installations.
Yenin believed that “difficult times await us,” but the government of Ukraine and most Ukrainian citizens “are ready for similar attacks”.
