Ukrainian authorities reported two Russian air strikes on two regions in the east of the country on Saturday morning after issuing a warning of air attacks, three days after a massive drone attack by Kiev on Russia.

Oleg Synegubov, governor of the Kharkiv region, a large city near the Russian border to the east, spoke of enemy strikes in two locations and said the damage was being assessed.

In the Poltava region, an attack of an unspecified nature destroyed energy infrastructure, causing power outages in 164 homes, the local military administration said, adding that no casualties were recorded.

The official online weather warning map covered all of Ukraine shortly before 07:00 local time (05:00 GMT).

The Ukrainian Air Force warned via Telegram of the threat of missile strikes in all areas where an alert has been issued, especially in Mykolaiv and Kherson.

It also warned of drones flying over several areas in the northeast of the country, and mentioned a threat of ballistic weapons.

The warning comes days after Kyiv launched one of its largest drone attacks on Russian territory on Tuesday night, killing a child and his mother and setting fire to an oil refinery.
