Two Syrian soldiers wounded in an Israeli air attack on army positions near Deir al Zour eastern Syria
Syrian official says that two soldiers were wounded as a result of an air attack launched by Israel on Syrian armed forces positions near the city of Deir al Zour in the east of the country on Monday evening.
A Syrian military source said, “Around 23:50… the Israeli enemy carried out an air attack on some of our armed forces’ positions in the vicinity of the city of Deir al Zour, and the aggression led to two soldiers being injured and some material losses”.
Israel didn’t respond comment.
Israel during the past years launched regular attacks on targets inside Syria, as they describes as targets linked to Iran in Syria, where Tehran’s influence has increased since it began supporting President Bashar al Assad in the war that broke out since 2011.
Hundreds of thousands have been killed and millions displaced since anti-Assad protests in 2011 developed into a civil war that attracted foreign powers and led to the country being divided into regions under the control of different parties.
