Former President Donald Trump won the Republican Party primary elections in New Hampshire against former Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, on Tuesday evening.

This victory, Trump’s second after winning the primary elections in Iowa last week, constitutes an additional step towards clinching the party’s nomination ticket for the presidential elections scheduled for next November.

Haley (52) acknowledged her defeat against Trump, but confirmed that she would continue in the race until the end.

Haley said in front of a crowd of her supporters in the state located in the northeastern United States, “This race isn’t over yet,” warning at the same time that Trump obtaining the Republican nomination will mean that President Joe Biden will win a second term in the elections scheduled for… Next November.

She said that Democrats “know that Trump is the only Republican in this country that Joe Biden can defeat”.

Immediately after the release of these media estimates, President Joe Biden’s election campaign considered that the former president’s victory in New Hampshire meant that his obtaining the nomination of his Republican Party for the presidential elections was almost guaranteed.

“Tonight’s results confirm that Donald Trump has practically secured the Republican Party nomination,” campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez said in a statement.

Biden also warned that democracy and individual freedoms in the United States are at stake after his predecessor Donald Trump’s victory in New Hampshire.

In a statement issued shortly after his Republican opponent’s victory, the Democratic president seeking to win a second term said, “It’s now clear that Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee”.

Historically, no Republican candidate in the history of the United States has ever won the primary elections in the first two states and didn’t ultimately obtain his party’s nomination.
