US President Donald Trump has threatened to re-impose tariffs on its goods if a trade deal is not reached.

“Given the possibility of a real deal with China, if it is possible or not, if the agreement is possible, we will implement it, and on the basis of the agreement, China will start to buy agricultural and other products immediately”, Trump tweeted.

I and the president, Xi Jinping, want this agreement”.

“If the agreement is not possible, remember that I am the tariff man.

When people and nations begin to exploit the wealth of our great nation, I want them to pay for these benefits. This will always be the best way to make the most of our economic power.

Dollars of tariff”.

“Negotiations with China have started, and will end within 90 days of the date of the wonderful and beautiful meeting with (Chinese) President Xi Jinping in Argentina”.

The US president described his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Argentina as “exceptional”, saying that China has much to gain if the deal is finalized.

The trade war between China and the United States of America began after July 6, while reciprocal customs duties entered into force.
