The Former US President Donald Trump said that the conflict in Ukraine can be settled with a deal, not by sending millions of dollars in aid to Kyiv.

On his social network, Truth Social, on Thursday, the former US president said that if he was currently in the position of head of the US administration, he could have achieved a peaceful settlement to the conflict in Ukraine within 24 hours.

Trump had said earlier, commenting on the actions of the current US President Joe Biden’s administration with regard to Ukraine that the conflict should be ended with a deal, and millions of dollars in aid should not be sent to Kyiv.

In addition, Trump said that because of the US actions, the conflict in Ukraine could lead to a world war.

Also, the United States under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, Victoria Nuland, said on Thursday that the US administration is ready to consider easing some sanctions imposed on Russia in serious talks on Ukraine.

However, she stressed at the same time that the United States wants to ensure that Kyiv regains control of the lands that have become part of Russia, or that are controlled by the Russian army.

In response, the Chairman of the Russian State Duma Committee on International Affairs, Leonid Slutsky, noted that Nuland’s letter was unacceptable for Moscow, since historical decisions cannot be changed for the sake of promises to review sanctions.
