Trump: Israel must provide food for the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip
US President Donald Trump said he wants Israel to provide food to Palestinians in the besieged Gaza Strip, and that he does not want people there to die of hunger.
In remarks made in Pennsylvania on Sunday evening, the US president said, “We want Israel to provide food for the Palestinians in Gaza”.
Trump, whose country has provided unequivocal support for the genocide Israel has been committing in the Gaza Strip for 22 months, added, “We’re contributing significantly to providing food for the people of Gaza.”
“The United States is the only country that really does this and provides the money for this purpose (providing food),” Trump said.
Last week, Trump claimed that his country had sent $60 million in food aid to Gaza and that no one had thanked him for it, however, the Washington Post reported on Sunday that the amount of food aid to Gaza mentioned by Trump was only $3 million.
