Trump: I will meet Putin very soon
The US president Donald Trump, told reporters that he may meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, very soon to discuss stopping the war in Ukraine.
He added that he is working hard to achieve peace, expressing his belief that both Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky want to stop the fighting.
Trump’s statements come at a time when the United States and Russia are preparing to launch preliminary talks in Saudi Arabia in the coming days.
The US President announced on Sunday that his meeting with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin, may take place very soon, at a time when negotiations are scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia to end the war in Ukraine.
Asked about the date of his meeting with the Russian president, Trump said, “No date has been set, but it could be very soon”.
