Trump comments on reports of US troop withdrawal from Syria
US President Donald Trump made a comment about reports of a US troop withdrawal from Syria, while answering questions from reporters at the White House.
In response to Israeli media reports that Israel was concerned about a possible US troop withdrawal from Syria, Trump said, “I don’t know who said that, but we will make a decision on Syria”.
Trump added, “We’re not intervening in Syria… They have enough problems and enough chaos there, they don’t need our intervention”.
Earlier, the Israeli Broadcasting Corporation indicated that US officials informed their Israeli counterparts that Trump plans to withdraw the US troops stationed in eastern Syria, which sparked concerns in Israel.
