Former US President Donald Trump described Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as a “dictator” on Wednesday, accusing him of manipulating former US President Joe Biden and holding him responsible for destroying Ukraine.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said, “Zelensky refuses to hold elections, and his poll numbers are very low in Ukraine… The only thing he was good at was exploiting Biden’s weaknesses… Zelensky is a dictator with no elections, and if he doesn’t act quickly, he will have no country left”.

“Imagine this,” Trump added, “a comedian who wasn’t very successful, convinced the United States to spend $350 billion on a war he can’t win, and that didn’t need to be started in the first place… This is a war he couldn’t have started without the support of the United States and Trump”.

He added, “The United States spent $200 billion more than Europe, and Europe’s money is guaranteed, while the United States will get nothing in return… Zelensky admits that half of the money we sent him was lost”.

Trump continued, “We’re working to negotiate a successful end to the war with Russia, and everyone acknowledges that only the Trump administration could have done it… Biden didn’t make any effort, and Europe wasn’t interested in making peace… Zelensky may be happy to keep the money flowing… I love Ukraine, but Zelensky has managed things very badly… His country is in ruins, millions have died needlessly, and it’s still going on”.
