Trump attacks the American media after reporting his failure to heed expert advice on Coronavirus
US President Donald Trump on Monday night attacked the media after the New York Times reported that the president had failed to heed the advice of experts early in the United States in response to an outbreak of the Coronavirus, the new.
Trump presented during his daily press conference a time frame that included praise for his response to the pandemic and included footage from news channels.
Trump described the New York Times report as “totally false” and presented travel restrictions he had made with regard to China and Europe as evidence of the rapid response to contain the virus.
He added: “We hope that one day during the five years when I am not here, all these newspapers will stop working because no one wants to read them anymore”.
