Trump announces a comprehensive ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran which will take effect within hours
US President Donald Trump announced that a comprehensive ceasefire agreement had been reached between Israel and Iran.
Trump said on Truth Social, “at midnight, a full agreement has been reached between Israel and Iran for a complete and comprehensive ceasefire (in approximately 6 hours from now, when Israel and Iran have completed their current and final missions!), for a period of 12 hours, at which point the war will be considered over!”
He added, “Officially, Iran will begin a ceasefire, at 12:00 PM, Israel will begin a ceasefire, and at 24:00 PM, the world will officially mark the end of the 12-day war”.
He noted, “Based on the assumption that everything will happen as it should, which it will, I would like to congratulate both countries, Israel and Iran, for having the fortitude, courage, and intelligence to end what should be called the 12-Day War”.
On the same context, the Iranian army issued an evacuation warning for the Ramat Gan area of Tel Aviv, in response to Israel’s evacuation notice for an area in the Iranian capital, Tehran.
The evacuation warning issued by the Iranian army, in which it announced it would attack the Ramat Gan area of Tel Aviv, included an order to evacuate an area it identified on a map.
The statement indicated that the Iranian armed forces will carry out operations in this area within the next few hours, similar to the operations they carried out against “the Israeli regime’s military infrastructure in recent days”.
The statement read, “Your presence in this area puts your lives in danger”.
The Israeli army had previously ordered the evacuation of District 7 in central Tehran and announced that it would attack the area.
