Total Energies buys 50% shares of the Turkish of Rönesans Holding Renewable Enerji
The French oil and gas giant Total Energies has bought 50% shares of the Turkish renewable energy company, Rönesans Enerji, to strengthen its presence in the renewable energy generation market in Türkiye.
Erman Ilicak, Chairman of Rönesans Holding Company, met at the signing ceremony of the deal that Rönesans Enerji intends to increase its production capacity from 166 MegaWatts currently to 1000 MegaWatts during the next three years.
The financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
Currently, Rönesans Enerji owns six hydroelectric power plants in Türkiye.
