The US military announced on Tuesday night that US forces shot down an Iranian-made drone in Syria on Tuesday.

The US Central Command wrote on Twitter that the drone was trying to conduct reconnaissance of a patrol base in northeastern Syria.

The incident took place at approximately 2:30 PM, Syria local time.

The US central base posted images of the Iranian drone flying close to the base and another one while it shot down and burning.

Last month, the base of the International Coalition in the al Tanf region, eastern Syria, was attacked by an unknown drone.
