The Syrian President receives the Russian delegation at the People’s Palace in Damascus
Syrian President Ahmad al Sharaa received a high-level Russian delegation headed by Alexander Novak, Russian Deputy Prime Minister, at the People’s Palace in Damascus.
During the meeting, extensive discussions were held on enhancing cooperation and developing bilateral relations between Syria and Russia in various sectors, serving the interests of both countries and strengthening the bonds of their strategic partnership.
Prior to this meeting, Novak held talks with Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al Shaibani, where discussions focused on strengthening political and economic cooperation between the two countries.
The Russian delegation arrived at Damascus International Airport on Tuesday morning, where it was received by Secretary-General of the Syrian Presidency, Maher al-Sharaa, a clear confirmation of the high level of coordination between the two sides.
This visit comes within the framework of strengthening Syrian-Russian ties amid growing regional challenges, while emphasizing continued cooperation to achieve shared interests.
