The Syrian government is approaching full control of the eastern Euphrates areas
Number of exports confirmed the readiness of the Syrian army to fully control the areas of East Euphrates during the coming period.
A group of experts on the Syrian issue said that the entry of the army forces without fighting confirms information of the reach of an agreement between Syria and the Syria Democratic Forces in order to block the road against any Turkish operation targeting the areas controlled by the SDF, which Kurdish elements are the majority of its formation.
The Syrian army will extend its control over the area of East Euphrates gradually, and the entry of troops from the Syrian army to Manbej was an important step and it will accelerate the full control over the remaining areas, especially in the presence of consultations with the SDF to hand over areas under their control as soon as possible, rather than opening the door for Turkish interventions.
According to information, the area of East Euphrates, which includes the areas of Ain Arab (Kubani), Malikiya, Darbasiya and the countryside of Hasakah to Qamishli, and all areas at the Turkish border in addition to the east of Deir Al Zour, which the Syrian forces will enter during the coming period.
For their part, a spokeswoman of the SDF, Cihan Ahmed, said that the SDF supports the entry of the Syrian army to Manbej in order to maintain the unity of Syria, because the areas entered by Turkey, will not be easily for the Turkish forces to leave it, asserting that SDF is working with Damascus to block the road for Turkish forces to enter.
She added, commenting on the statement of the Syrian army on the entry into Manbej, told the Russian news agency “Sputnik”: “We’re with the entry of the Syrian army to Manbej to maintain Syria because when Turkey put its feet in any place they don’t get out of it.
The Syrian army’s general command announced Friday (December 28th) that the Syrian armed forces entered the city of Manbej in Aleppo’s countryside and raised the national flag in it.
The Syrian official news agency SANA the official statement of the Syrian Army that said: “In response to the call of the people in the Manbej area, the General Command of the Army and the Armed Forces announces the entry of units from the Syrian Arab Republic, Syrian Arab Army to Manbej and raise the flag of the Syrian Arab Republic”.
