The second vessel leaves the port of Odessa and Ukrainian farmers will plant less wheat and increase rapeseed area in 2024
According to senior Ukrainian government official, the second vessel stuck in the port of Odessa after Russia last month withdrew from a deal to export grain across the Black Sea left port on Sunday.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine, Oleksandr Kubrakov wrote on X platform that the vessel Primus, rising the flag of Liberia, began sailing through a temporary passage opened for civilian ships, carrying steel products to African countries.
On different context, the Ukrainian Ministry of Agriculture said that Ukrainian farmers are planning to increase the land planted with winter rapeseed for 2024 to a record 1.9 million hectares.
In its survey, the Ukrainian Ministry of Agriculture revealed that Ukrainian farmers may reduce the area under winter wheat.
The Ukrainian Ministry of Agriculture said in a statement that the survey showed 45% of farmers don’t intend to reduce the area planted for winter crops, while 38% intend to increase the area, and 14% said they won’t plant winter crops.
