
On Wednesday night, two Syrian soldiers were wounded and material damage occurred as a result of an Israeli attack that targeted points in the vicinity of the Syrian capital, Damascus.
A Syrian military source stated that at around 12:25 AM, on Wednesday, the Israeli enemy carried out an air attack with barrages of missiles from the direction of the north of the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting some points in the vicinity of Damascus.
The source added that our air defenses intercepted the aggression’s missiles and shot down most of them, indicating that the aggression resulted in the injury of two soldiers and some material losses.
The deputy head of the Russian Reconciliation Center, Oleg Gorinov, announced that two Israeli F16s attacked warehouses in Damascus governorate Wednesday night, wounding two Syrian soldiers.
Gorinov said during a press briefing, “From 00.26 to 00.36 hours, two F16s of the Israeli Air Force launched an air strike on warehouses located in the Damascus governorate, wounding two Syrian soldiers and causing material damage”.
The Syrian air defenses intercepted the Israeli missiles, shooting down most of them.
Israel launches raids on military sites it says belong to pro-Iranian factions in several areas in Syria, while Israel reiterates that it will continue to confront what it describes as Iran’s attempts to consolidate its military presence in Syria.
Syria called on the UN Security Council and the United Nations, earlier, to condemn the Israeli aggression against it and to take firm measures to prevent its recurrence.
