The head of the Russian Reconciliation Center in Syria, Commodore Alexander Sherbinski, announced that the illegal presence of the United States east of the Euphrates has become a major factor in instability, stressing that this impedes dialogue between the parties.
“The illegal presence of the United States forces in the east of the Euphrates plays the role of the main factor of political and social instability and impedes the development of dialogue between the various parties to the Syrian conflict,” the statement said.
The head of the Russian Reconciliation Center indicated that the situation in the east of the Euphrates, in particular in areas not under government control in Deir al Zour, is worsening, and that clan forces hostile to the US-backed units have taken control of a number of towns and residential centers.
The head of the Russian Reconciliation Center in Syria confirmed that the Russian Federation and the Syrian Arab Republic are ready to take all necessary measures to settle the situation in the east of the Euphrates.
The statement read: “Russia and the Syrian Arab Republic are ready to take all necessary measures to restore the situation to normal in the east of the Euphrates, to resume the national dialogue, as well as to provide safety and security for the residents of the region”.
It is noteworthy that the US forces are stationed in eastern Syria near the oil fields, while the SDF are their allies.
