4,129 new infections and 236 new deaths have been recorded since Saturday.
Mainland China (excluding Hong Kong and Macao), where the epidemic first appeared, counted 80,695 cases, including 3,097 deaths. On Sunday, the Chinese authorities announced 44 new injuries and 27 additional deaths between Saturday 17:00 GMT and Sunday at 17:00 GMT.
In all other countries of the world, the total reached 28,337 injuries (4,085 new) Sunday at 17:00 GMT, including 695 deaths (209 new).
The most affected countries after China are Italy (7,375 injuries, including 1,492 new cases, 366 deaths), South Korea (7,313 injuries, including 546 new ones, 48 deaths), Iran (6,566 cases, including 743 new ones, 194 deaths), France (1,126 injuries, including 410 new cases, 19 deaths).
As of 17:00 GMT Saturday, China, Italy, Iran, South Korea, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Iraq, Hong Kong and Australia recorded new deaths, while Argentina and Egypt declared their first deaths from the virus.
Moldova, Bulgaria, Paraguay and Bangladesh announced the first injuries reported on their soil.
As of 17:00 GMT Sunday, the total number in Asia was 89,725 injuries (3,163 deaths), Europe 11,887 injuries (408 deaths), the Middle East 6,912 injuries (200 deaths), the United States and Canada 270 cases (16 deaths) and Oceania 83 injuries (3 deaths) Africa has 80 injuries (one death) and Latin America and the Caribbean 74 injuries (one death).
