The Kremlin officially denies Russia’s involvement in cyber-attacks in the United States
A spokesman for Russian President Vladimir Putin officially denied today, Monday, the Russian state’s involvement in the recent cyber-attacks on the US administration.
The Russian “TASS” news agency quoted Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov as saying: “Russia was not involved in such attacks, specifically these.
We say it formally and categorically”.
He added, “Any accusations of Russia’s involvement are totally unfounded.
It is most likely a continuation of the blind phobia from Russia that is waved when an incident occurs”.
The US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo directly accused Russia last week of being responsible for these attacks.
He said, “We can clearly say that the Russians were involved in this activity”.
The US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency recently announced that US government departments and vital infrastructure institutions have been compromised since “at least March”.
