The Israeli army reveals figures of the foreign soldiers joining its ranks
Official data issued by the Israeli army has revealed, for the first time, shocking figures related to the number of soldiers with additional foreign nationalities who are participating in military operations, as their numbers have reached more than 50,000 soldiers.
According to the data revealed by British website “Declassified”, 50,632 soldiers in the Israeli army hold a second nationality in addition to Israeli citizenship.
The data showed that there are 4,440 soldiers with two foreign nationalities, while 162 soldiers hold three different foreign nationalities in addition to the Israeli.
The United States topped the list of countries with Israeli citizenship with 12,135 soldiers, followed by France with 6,127 soldiers, and then Russia with 5,067 soldiers.
The list also showed more than 3,000 soldiers with dual German and Ukrainian citizenship, and more than 1,000 each from Britain, Romania, Poland, Ethiopia and Canada.
In striking details, the list showed the presence of soldiers in the Israeli army who hold the nationalities of Arab countries, and the figures were as follows:
Yemen 22 soldiers (dual and multiple nationals), Tunisia 22 soldiers, Lebanon, 4 soldiers, Syria 3 soldiers, and Algeria 1.
This revelation comes to shed light on the extent of international participation under the guise of dual citizenship in the ranks of the Israeli army.
