The Israeli army intercepts a drone on its way to the Karish gas field and Hezbollah targets an infantry force at the Sadah military site

The Israeli army announced on Monday that it had intercepted a drone that had penetrated the economic waters of northern Israel, while Hezbollah announced that it had shelled the Sadah military site with artillery and achieved a direct hit.

The Israeli army said in a statement, “A drone that penetrated Israel’s economic waters in the north of the country was intercepted”.

The statement added, “The alerts weren’t activated according to the established policy”.

According to Israeli media, the drone was on its way to the Karish gas field, which is considered the most important strategic asset.

For its part, Hezbollah announced that it had shelled an infantry force at the Sadah military site in northern Israel on the border with southern Lebanon, and achieved a direct hit.

Hezbollah said in a statement that “in defense of Lebanon and its people, our fighters targeted, at dawn on Monday, an Israeli infantry force at the Sadah site with artillery shells, achieving direct hits”.
