The Islamic state is planning more attacks on the United States after the last two attacks
The Islamic state vowed on Monday that US forces in the international coalition with more attacks against them, just hours after it the Islamic state adopted another suicide attack targeting a convoy in the southern Hasaka countryside in northeastern Syria.
The attack was the second after a similar suicide bombing on Wednesday in the city of Manbij, in which four US were killed, as an escalation that comes a month after US President Donald Trump announced his decision to withdraw his troops completely from Syria, after achieving its goal of “defeat” the extremist organization.
In a statement carried by jihadist account on Telegram on Monday night, the organization vowed to the US forces and their allies to see “what their hairs will turn grey due to”, asserting that “what happened to them in Hasakah and Mnmbjj is the first rain”.
On Monday, a suicide bomber blew himself up in a car bomb targeting an American convoy accompanied by fighters from the Syria Democratic Forces who were protecting them as they passed through Al Shadadi area, south of Hasaka, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
Rami Abdul Rahman, the director of the observatory, said the suicide bomber “attacked with his car a Military vehicle belonging to the Syria Democratic Forces which was part of the convoy.
Kurdish media published pictures showing the Military vehicle while it’s burning.
The explosion, according to the observatory, killed “five fighters of the Syria Democratic Forces, who protect the American forces and wounding at least two Americans”.
In a statement on Twitter, the International Coalition reported that a “joint convoy between US forces and Syrian partner forces” was attacked via car bomb.
“There are no casualties among US forces”, the statement said.
Kurdish security forces, for their part, denied any casualties in the attack near one of the roadblocks.
An eyewitness told AFP that the blast occurred near a checkpoint for Kurdish forces during the passage of the convoy.
He said he heard an air raid in the area after the blast before it was completely shut down by Kurdish militants and the expulsion of civilians.
After the bombing, the Islamic state organization adopted the attack.
“A suicide car bomb attack hit a joint convoy of US troops and the PKK near the checkpoint south of Al Shaddadi”, Amaq said in a statement which is the Islamic state media outlet.
The organization calls the PKK’s short name Kurdish units, the military arm of the Kurdish Democratic Union Party in Syria.
The organization’s earlier attack in the city of Manbij on Wednesday, killing 19 people, was four Americans, 10 civilians and five fighters of the Syria Democratic Forces.
The bloodiest bombing of US troops since the US-led coalition began its military intervention in Syria in 2014.
The coalition supports Syria’s democratic forces, which include Kurdish and Arab factions, in its battles against the organization of the Islamic state.
The US president announced last month that he would count all his estimated 2,000 US troops from Syria.
Since then, senior US officials have made contradictory statements about Washington’s intentions.
But the Pentagon said the withdrawal from Syria had begun, although it was still unclear how long it would take before it ended.
Despite the major field losses of the past two years, the organization is still capable of launching attacks in different areas.
His presence is currently limited to the Syrian desert stretching from the center of the country to the Iraqi border.
In the areas from which they were expelled, the organization moves through “sleeper cells” that place bombs or carry out assassinations or suicide bombings targeting civilian and military sites.
Syria has been plagued by a bloody conflict since its outbreak in 2011, with the deaths of more than 360,000 people, massive infrastructure damage and the displacement and displacement of more than half of the population inside and outside the country.
