The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs: An agreement with the United States for the exit of its forces from Iraq
The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that an agreement had been reached with the United States on setting a timetable for the withdrawal of US forces from Iraq, and the statement issued by the ministry stated that the two governments agreed to formulate a specific and clear timetable that specifies the duration of the presence of international coalition advisors in Iraq, and begins implementing the plan, gradually to reduce their presence on Iraqi territory and end the coalition’s military mission.
The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that this agreement includes a transition to comprehensive bilateral relations with the coalition countries, including the political, economic, cultural, security and military fields, consistent with the vision of the Iraqi government.
This agreement comes in light of the repeated US attacks on Iraqi military sites, which resulted in many casualties, and the Iraqi government has firmly condemned these attacks.
