The fourth in two weeks… The Israeli security arrested another spy cell working for Iran
The Israeli police and the General Security Service (Shabak) arrested an Israeli couple on Thursday on charges of spying for Iran, according to Israeli media on Thursday, which is the fourth case of its kind in two weeks.
The Channel 13 said that the police and the Shin Bet arrested an Israeli couple on charges of spying for Iran, after they were recruited by an Israeli citizen of Azerbaijani origin.
It reported that an indictment was filed against Rafael and Lala Guliyev, a 32-year-old couple, on charges of collecting intelligence and providing it to Iranian officials through Elkhan Agayev.
The couple monitored sensitive security sites, most notably the headquarters of the Mossad, and collected information about an Israeli academic, who works at the Institute for National Security Studies at Tel Aviv University.
