The Famine and the massacres continued in Gaza: An entire family killed in Israeli and the death toll from hunger has risen to 162
Seventeen Palestinians, including an entire family, were killed and others injured on Saturday in Israeli attacks targeting various areas of the Gaza Strip, as part of the ongoing genocide that has been ongoing for more than 21 months.
Israeli attacks targeted homes, displacement camps, and civilian gatherings in Gaza City and the southern and central Gaza Strip.
In the latest attacks, five Palestinians waiting for US aid were killed by Israeli gunfire, including three near distribution centers on al Tina Street, south of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, and two near the Netzarim axis in the central Gaza Strip.
Prior to that, 12 Palestinians were killed in separate Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.
In the central Gaza Strip, the Israeli army killed the five-members of one family (a man, his wife, and their three children) after targeting their home south of the town of al Zawaida.
A Palestinian was killed and others were injured in an Israeli bombardment targeting a civilian gathering in the town of al Zawaida.
In the southern Gaza Strip, three Palestinians were killed and others injured in an Israeli drone attack using bombs on displaced people’s tents near the Industrial Area Junction north of Khan Yunis.
A mother and her daughter were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a displacement camp near the gate of Asdaa Prison, which houses displaced people west of Khan Yunis.
During the night, the Israeli army continued to carry out bombing operations targeting homes and facilities in the eastern areas of Khan Yunis.
In Rafah, a Palestinian was killed and 25 others were injured when the Israeli army opened fire on people waiting for aid near a distribution center affiliated with the so-called “Gaza Humanitarian Foundation” west of the city.
In the northern Gaza Strip, a number of Palestinians were injured in an Israeli airstrike that targeted an apartment belonging to one family near Aydiya Street, west of Gaza City.
Palestinian child Atef Abu Khater died in a Gaza City hospital on Saturday, succumbing to malnutrition resulting from Israel’s starvation policy, which coincides with a genocidal war that has been ongoing for more than 21 months.
Atef, (17) died in al Helou private International Hospital as a result of severe hunger and malnutrition, as he weighed 25 kilograms.
The Palestinian child had suffered a sudden deterioration in his health two weeks ago, following significant weight loss, which led to his being admitted to the hospital.
Atef didn’t suffer from any diseases before losing weight.
On Friday, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) warned that children in Gaza are dying at an “unprecedented” rate amid famine and deteriorating conditions resulting from the ongoing Israeli war.
According to Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza, Friday, the death toll from Israel’s starvation policy, has risen to 162, including 92 children, following three deaths recorded in the past 24 hours.
According to World Food Program estimates, a quarter of Palestinians in Gaza are facing famine-like conditions, with 100,000 children and women suffering from severe malnutrition.
