The European Union closes its entire external borders for 30 days with the aim of tackling the Coronavirus and Macron epidemic announcing the prevention of unnecessary movement in France from Tuesday noon

French President Emmanuel Macron announced in a speech on Monday evening that the European Union will close its “foreign borders” as of Tuesday, for a period of 30 days, in order to address the new epidemic of Corona.
“All flights between non-European countries and European countries will be suspended for 30 days,” Macron said.
The French President also announced in his televised address the prevention of unnecessary movement from Tuesday noon to reduce the spread of the Corona epidemic in the country.
“From tomorrow noon and for a period of at least fifteen days, our movements will be curtailed in a very large way,” Macron said, stressing that “any punishment” for this violation will be punished and also announced the postponement of the second round of municipal elections that were scheduled for March 22.
