The al Qassam Brigades announced the targeting of three Israeli tanks in Gaza while Israeli army expanded military operations in the eastern and southern Gaza Strip
The al Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced on Wednesday that its fighters had targeted three Israeli Merkava 4 tanks east of Gaza City over the past 24 hours.
The al Qassam Brigades said in a statement on Telegram that its fighters had targeted three Israeli tanks that had penetrated near al Wafa Hospital, east of the al Tuffah neighborhood in Gaza City, using “al Yassin 105” antitank missiles.
On Saturday, the Israeli army announced the expansion of its ground operations in the Daraj and Tuffah areas east of Gaza City, as part of the ongoing US-backed genocide in the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli army said in a statement, “IDF forces have begun operating in the Daraj and Tuffah areas of the Gaza Strip with the aim of deepening operational control in the area and expanding the defensive security zone”.
