Syrian field source: The battle of Idlib is near after the Russian deadline for Turkey to open the international road (M4) in a peaceful way

A high-level Syrian field source confirmed today, Sunday, that the additional deadline granted by Russia to the Turkish side in order to open the international road (M4) in a peaceful manner has ended today, noting that huge reinforcements have reached the Syrian army at the contact lines south of Idlib.

The source said, “The Syrian army sent large military reinforcements to the axes of contact with armed terrorist groups in Idlib countryside during the recent times, due to the field developments taking place on this front, especially as the armed groups led by (Al Sham Liberation Headquarters) and foreign militants working under The so-called (Turkistan Islamic Party) are carrying out almost daily attacks on Syrian army sites in the Al Ghab Plain and the southern Idlib countryside”.

The source pointed out that “the movements of the militants and their crowds have become completely exposed to the monitoring units in the Syrian army, and we have dealt with them several times during the past week and we have been able to destroy the mechanisms, vehicles and armored vehicles that were preparing to attack our military sites in Idlib countryside”.

“We are in high-level coordination with the Russian side, which went to the end with the Turkish side, through an additional deadline that ended today to open the international road (M4) in a peaceful way, but it seems that the Turks are not serious in dealing with this matter, and they could not control the groups”.

Armed forces at the very least, on the contrary, as we receive firm information that Turkish support is still ongoing for these factions with weapons and equipment, and this matter does not appeal to the Syrian leadership or to the Russian side.

Regarding the possibility of a resumption of military action in the Idlib countryside soon, the source stressed that “this matter has become a reality, as the Syrian army will not remain on the defensive in front of these almost daily repeated violations, and we are currently putting the finishing touches to the military action plan in coordination with the allies on the ground.

The Turkish Armed Forces and their supporter only understand the language of the Arms, and we are ready to engage in this language.

The source revealed that “strategic areas should be under the control of the Syrian army in the next stage, including Jabal Al Zawiya in Idlib countryside and the rest of the Al Ghab Plain in Hama countryside, which is the next target of the Syrian army”.

Regarding the date of the start of the military action, the source preferred not to specify an accurate date, indicating that the Syrian army is working within military data and plans as the field reality imposes some variations, noting, “But we can say that the Idlib battle is coming to the door”.
