Syria: An Israeli patrol penetrates a village in the Quneitra countryside
An Israeli army patrol entered a village in the Quneitra Governorate countryside in southern Syria on Monday, in the latest violation of the Syrian territories.
The Israeli forces patrol, consisting of three vehicles, has penetrated the village of al Samadaniyya al Gharbiyya in the Quneitra countryside.
On Saturday, the official Syrian news agency, SANA, reported that Israeli soldiers had infiltrated towns and villages in Quneitra, setting up checkpoints to search passersby, and then withdrawing.
Damascus has repeatedly condemned the ongoing Israeli violations and affirmed its commitment to the 1974 Separation of Forces Agreement between the two sides.
