Frank Bazemann, head of a German parliamentary delegation currently visiting Damascus, announced the “European political climate change towards Syria”, where Switzerland decided to grant Syria financial assistance worth 450 million euros for reconstruction.

Bazeman pointed out that the Italian Minister of Communications also expressed his desire to visit Syria, and that the German parliament has proposed a cooperation project with the Syrian government, according to Syrian official news agency “SANA”.

Bazeman, head of the German parliamentary delegation, discussed with the Arab, Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Committee at the Syrian parliament headed by Ammar Al Assad ways to overcome obstacles between Syria and Germany and strengthen cooperation between the two countries through parliamentary work.

During the meeting, it was agreed to develop a joint working paper and continuous communication through the formation of parliamentary working groups, to begin practical steps related to lifting the sanctions and facilitate the return of Syrian refugees and strengthen relations between the two countries.
