The number of deaths in Syria from various regions is terrifying and increasing since the fall of the Assad regime and the current chaos of power.

Statistics compiled from various sources reveal terrifying numbers, with more than 760 people killed in assassinations and liquidations in Syria since the beginning of 2025.

According to data issued by international human rights organizations also indicate that the number of victims of liquidations and assassinations in various Syrian governorates since the beginning of 2025 has reached 760 people, including 723 men, 25 women, and 12 children.

The death toll was distributed across the Syrian governorates:

  • Damascus: 28 (27 men, 1 woman) – 6 sectarian-motivated deaths
  • Rural Damascus: 67 (66 men, 1 woman) – 10 sectarian-motivated deaths
  • Homs: 262 (244 men, 15 women, 3 children) – 118 sectarian-motivated deaths
  • Hama: 152 (146 men, 4 women, 2 children) – 60 sectarian-motivated deaths
  • Latakia: 75 (67 men, 3 women, 5 children) – 38 sectarian-motivated deaths
  • Aleppo: 49 (all men) – 1 sectarian-motivated deaths
  • Tartus: 65 (63 men, 1 woman, 1 child) – 42 sectarian-motivated deaths
  • Idlib: 15 (all men) – not sectarian-motivated deaths
  • Suwayda: 4 (all men) – 2 sectarian-motivated deaths
  • Dara’a: 37 (36 men, 1 child)
  • Deir al Zour: 6 (all men)
