Syria’s Democratic Forces (SDF) do not rule out the possibility of joining the Syrian army in the future, said Ilham Ahmed, head of the executive board of the Democratic Council of Syria, on Sunday.

The statements of the Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Council of Democratic Syria, during an interview with the BBC, saying that “SDF” does not mind the existence of one formula or another for the joining of troops to the Syrian army in the future.

She pointed out that this can be achieved, in the event of reaching a final agreement on the future of Syria, and the system of government.

Ahmed said the Executive Council of Syria and the Syrian government had yet to address security issues.

She pointed out that “all oil areas, in the regions of the island and east of the Euphrates, will remain under the protection of Kurdish forces until the solution of the Syrian crisis.”

A delegation from the Syrian Democratic Council announced its arrival in the Syrian capital “Damascus” for the first time, to negotiate with the Syrian government to reach a “political agreement.”
