Russian and Turkish soldiers wounded in an explosive device placed by “gunmen” while a joint patrol was passing in Idlib
The Russian Reconciliation Center in Syria reported that three Russian soldiers were lightly wounded in an explosion of an explosive device planted by “armed men” while a Russian-Turkish joint patrol was passing in Idlib.
The center said in a statement on Tuesday: “Three Russian soldiers were lightly wounded, the crew of the Turkish armored vehicle was also wounded as a result of the detonation of an explosive device planted during the passage of a joint Russian-Turkish patrol at the M4 highway in Idlib, and all the wounded were evacuated immediately from the area.
The Russian soldiers were transferred to Hmeimim base where they received all necessary medical care, and their condition is stable.
Meanwhile, the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria announced that the militants in Idlib were behind the targeting of a joint Russian-Turkish patrol with an explosive device, Tuesday.
The Russian Center for Reconciliation said: “At the moment, the patrols have stopped, and the damaged equipment is being evacuated.
The leadership of the Russian forces in the Syrian Arab Republic, in cooperation with the Turkish army and the Syrian intelligence services, confirm the involvement of Idlib militants in the attack on the patrol.
