Russia warning: NATO’s military presence on our borders threatens the security of our country and spreads chaos and won’t go unanswered

The deputy director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Andrey Nastasin, said that NATO has strengthened its military presence on the Russian border and that they will respond to this, adding that this situation threatens the security of Russia.
Nastasin held a press conference on current issues in the capital Moscow on Wednesday, as he assessed the Finnish parliament’s approval of the defense agreement, which allows the United States to use 15 military personnel in the Finland, where Nastasin confirmed that NATO has strengthened its military presence on the Russian border.
“Russia won’t leave this unanswered, this threatens the security of the Russian Federation,” Nastasin said.
On inviting the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia to attend the NATO summit scheduled for July 9-11, he said, “This is an example of the Americans’ attempts to spread their destructive influence in every region of the world”.
Washington aims to separate friendly and neighboring countries from Russia with the consent of weak-willed European allies.
NATO members are making efforts to develop their capabilities in dealing with regional issues, and this approach has led to disastrous results on many occasions.
He stressed that the United States and its European allies are unhappy with the situation in Ukraine, so they are trying to cause chaos in Russia’s neighboring countries.
They (the United States and its allies) are supplying weapons to Armenia, trying to rebuild the country’s defense space and undermining the security mechanisms of the CSTO.
At the same time, they are trying to influence Baku, and this increases tension between Azerbaijan and Armenia, negatively affects dialogue and relations between the two countries and provokes an arms race in the region.
Nastasin stressed that this approach aims to divide the South Caucasus region and could lead to devastating consequences, noting that security and stability in the South Caucasus must be guaranteed by the countries of the region.
