Russia shot down two Ukrainian rockets over Crimea

The Russian Defense Ministry said that air defense systems detected and destroyed two Ukrainian S-200 anti-aircraft rockets, thwarting two attacks that it said Kiev attempted to launch four hours apart on Saturday on the Crimean Peninsula.
At 10:25 pm, the Ukrainian Public Broadcasting Corporation quoted a resident as saying that two explosions sounded in the Yevtaporia region in western Crimea.
Other local channels earlier reported a picture of smoke rising in the sky of Jankoy, located in the north, and reported hearing explosions.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced almost identical posts on Telegram, saying that Kiev tried to launch a terrorist attack at 6 and 10 PM Moscow time with an S-200 anti-aircraft rockets that had been modified to an offensive version.
The Russian Defense Ministry added in both publications, Russian air defense systems immediately detected the Ukrainian missile and destroyed it in the air.
