Russia put the United States in a state of “strategic nightmare”
US political expert, Clint Mallory, considered that the rapprochement between Russia and China to confront the United States has become a real strategic nightmare for Washington.
Mallory published an article for him on the “19fortyfive” website, which specializes in the army and military strategy, in which he said that “if Beijing and Moscow unite their efforts and military capabilities, this will become a threat to the United States and it is impossible to defeat China and Russia together”.
Mallory considered that Washington is capable of raising tensions between Russia and China, as this is necessary to waste their efforts, and at the same time the US administration must start an objective dialogue with Moscow in order to extract it from the bosom of Beijing.
Mallory pointed out that “Russia sees the actual threat to it coming from Europe and this is logical as long as there is an expansion of NATO eastward to the Russian borders”, adding: “This means that even a small positive contribution from the United States can have an impact on Russia’s behavior and change its attitude towards China, is in our favor”.
Mallory explained that Washington’s inclination towards Moscow should not harm the countries of Eastern Europe, it is necessary to take into account the interests of the Baltic states, Poland and Ukraine.
Mallory suggested that the United States begin negotiations with Russia on the expansion of NATO to the east, amend the law on “confronting America’s enemies through sanctions”, return Moscow to the Group of Seven major countries, and start a dialogue with the Kremlin, noting that it would be “just a starting point”.
Mallory concluded that if the United States succeeded in pulling Russia on its side and was able to satisfy it, it would allow the White House to focus most of its resources on China, which actually threatens America in the future.
