The Somali Finance Minister Bihi Iman Aghi signed an agreement with Russian Deputy Finance Minister Timur Maximov, related to exempting Mogadishu from debts worth $684 million, without giving more details about these debts.

The Somali Finance Minister expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Russian government for its support to the Somali people.

On Thursday, the second edition of the Russia-Africa ​​summit kicked off in the Russian city of St. Petersburg, as part of efforts aimed at strengthening strategic relations between Moscow and the countries of the brown continent and raising them to a new level.
