Russia entering the winter phase war in Ukraine with huge pile of arsenal
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that Russia has amassed a large stock of missiles in preparation for the winter, as a report indicates Moscow’s intention to resort to carrying out strong strikes to end the war with victory or force Ukraine to resort to a negotiating table on Moscow’s terms, even during the winter.
Over the past few weeks, many experts have been speaking out about the Russian army’s readiness for large-scale battles during the winter, taking advantage of remotely piloted devices, the most important of which are drones and missiles of various models, including Kalibr and Cruise missiles, in the shadow of the muddy lands and roads blocked by the accumulation of ice, and generally bad weather.
The upcoming Russian army operations against Ukrainian targets will continue much more powerful, especially since Russia is well prepared for a winter air confrontation using missiles from various sources.
During the past few months, Russia managed to produce more weapons, moreover, according to some reports, it obtained large quantities of various ammunition, especially for artillery, from North Korea, in addition to localized the Iranian drone industry, to locally produce suicide drones such as Shahid 131 and Shahid 136, as a huge factory was built in the city of Yelabuga in the Republic of Tatarstan, and its products began arriving at the front in early August, and since then production has grown steadily.
Although the production of this factory is a military secret, US intelligence reported that the plan was centered as:
In the first phase, from January to June 2023, Iranian-made spare parts were used, and the production speed was 100 drones per month, bringing the total volume to 600 drones.
In the second phase, which began in April and will continue until the end of this year, the factory began producing drones using Russian and Iranian components and spare parts.
In this phase, production speed increased from 170 to 180 drones per month, and the total volume reached 1,330 drones.
The third stage in January 2024, and Russia will completely transform into its own components, and the speed of production will increase to 220 drones per month, and it is planned that 6,000 drones will be produced by next September.
A few days ago, Ukrainian Air Force spokesman Yuri Ignat reported that, according to estimates, Russia possesses an arsenal of 900 long-range, high-precision missiles.
Ignat also confirmed that the Russian military industrial complex is now capable of producing 100 missiles per month.
Ukraine hasn’t yet been able to establish factories capable of producing a type of aircraft that matches the power and effectiveness of the Iranian Shahid drones of its various generations.
The main workhorse of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is the Chinese Mugin 5 Pro, capable of carrying up to 20 kg of explosives.
The main task of the Russian Armed Forces will be to weaken the Ukrainian depth, which may lead to a reduction in assistance to Kiev.
It’s expected that Russia’s plans during the winter will focus on bombing railways to stop the supply of ammunition and food.
