Roadside bomb targeting a US forces convoy in Deir al Zour
On Monday morning, unknown assailants targeted a convoy of US forces with an explosive device in the town of al Sabha in Deir al Zour countryside.
No information was obtained about possible casualties at the convoy.
Local sources from the town of al Sabha said that an explosive device was planted on the side of the road near one of the remittance offices in the town, and it exploded this morning as a convoy of US forces was passing by as it was heading to the al Omar oil field, which it uses as a base for its forces.
The sources said that a tight security cordon was struck by the American forces and the militias loyal to them at the site of the explosion, which prevented the ability to reveal the results of the bombing and the fate of the American soldiers, noting that two civilians who were near the site of the explosion were injured and were immediately treated at al Faiha Hospital.
The source added that the region is witnessing a state of alert, as the US army began operating drones to comb the area, and the SDF militia, which is affiliated with the US occupation forces, began to deploy many barriers and strict scrutiny of passers-by.
On the other hand, the SDF forces loyal to the US continued to enforce the ban on motorcycles, as dozens of bicycles were confiscated and others were burned.
It is noteworthy that the region is witnessing a state of chaos and resistance from tribesmen who reject the presence of the US forces and the misconduct by SDF in the area.
