The Russian RIA Novosti news agency conduct an interview with a Russian prominent Economist, Vladimir Milovidov, who is the deputy director of the National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations at the Russian Academy of Sciences, who spoke about the both US presidential candidates, Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, and which of them is considered dangerous on Russia.

Milovidov said that both candidates actually have hostile attitudes towards Russia, however there are differences that make Trump more dangerous for Moscow.

Milovidov told RIA Novosti that The Economist magazine concluded that the programs of the economic candidates don’t provide much practical reality, but the difference between Harris and Trump, is the fact that Trump is the one who is less predictable.

He added that Donald Trump, unlike Kamala Harris, who openly declares her hostility, hides this hostility with friendly statements that may tempt some in Moscow.

But in reality, Trump seeks to impose hegemony, which makes him more dangerous.

For example, Milovidov mentioned that Trump recently threatened to punish countries that try to abandon dealing in the US dollar, which makes his position hostile towards Russia, which seeks to reduce its dependence on the US currency in light of the sanctions.

Milovidov concluded by saying that these actions make Trump a more complex threat to Russia than Harris, due to his ability to hide his intentions behind words that seem positive.
